Programme Description
The Master’s Degree in Pelvic Floor Reeducation is aimed at physiotherapists seeking to specialise in the care and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunctions in both public and private healthcare settings, whether in gynaecology, obstetrics, urology, coloproctology and/or sexology. The programme offers an in-depth exploration of clinical physiopathology and therapeutic treatments, with an updated overview of techniques and technologies, as well as conservative approaches for managing pelvic-perineal dysfunctions in both men and women.
This programme enables students to acquire all the professional competencies required to work in this field through a fully professionalising approach and a practical, applied methodology.
Programme Objectives
- Deepen knowledge of the biomechanics and various abdominopelvic anatomical regions. Urogenital and coloproctological anatomical knowledge through theoretical classes and dissections.
- Acquire therapeutic methodology, as well as clinical recording skills and the necessary competence to establish a physiotherapeutic diagnosis based on clinical reasoning.
- Acquire the knowledge required to apply physiotherapy treatments based on current scientific evidence and adapted to the specific issues of the pelvic floor.
- Train students in problem-based learning through simulated clinical case scenarios.
- Acquire the essential skills, abilities and basic resources required for research methodologies and for developing research projects within this area of specialisation.
- Strengthen interpersonal skills, participate actively in a multidisciplinary team and integrate one’s professional perspective into collaborative work.
