The Master’s in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation is aimed at physiotherapists seeking specialization to assess and treat pelvic floor dysfunctions within public or private healthcare, whether in gynecology, obstetrics, urology, coloproctology, and/or sexology. The program provides in-depth training in clinical pathophysiology and therapeutic treatments, with an updated review of techniques and technologies, as well as conservative treatments for the management of pelvic-perineal dysfunctions in both men and women.
The program, through a fully professional approach and applied practical methodology, enables students to acquire all the professional competencies required to intervene in this field.
Objectives
- Deepen knowledge of biomechanics and the different abdominopelvic anatomical regions. Urogenital and coloproctological anatomy through lectures and dissections.
- Acquire therapeutic methodology, clinical recording, and the skills needed to develop a physiotherapeutic diagnosis based on clinical reasoning.
- Gain the knowledge necessary to carry out physiotherapy treatments based on updated scientific evidence and adapted to the specific pelvic floor dysfunction being treated.
- Train students in problem-based learning through the study of simulated clinical cases.
- Develop the basic skills, abilities, and resources required in research methodologies to design research projects within this area of specialization.
- Enhance relational skills, actively participate in multidisciplinary teams, and contribute an expert perspective.
