Programme Description
Like any professional, podiatrists must always stay up to date in their field in order to offer the best care to their patients. Orthopodology is an essential branch within the profession, and it has evolved considerably in recent years. Nowadays, materials and even the technologies associated with them have advanced, requiring us to remain attentive to sector innovations and updates.
Understanding that each patient requires personalised elements with specific characteristics is essential to establish an optimal orthopodological treatment that is as comprehensive as possible whenever applicable.
For the first time, general orthopaedics sessions led by professionals in the sector are introduced with the aim of improving the patient’s quality of life. We treat human beings, human bodies, not just feet.
For this reason, from Campus Manresa, drawing on several years of experience in continuing education, we take a step further and present the Master’s Degree in Applied Orthopodology. A comprehensive programme designed so that podiatrists can expand and develop their knowledge and skills in relation to foot orthoses and other orthopaedic devices.
Orthotic devices will play a central role, developed through audiovisual content with extensive, high‑quality materials. What makes this programme unique is the large number of hands‑on workshop hours during which students will practise their manual dexterity, speed and aesthetic quality when producing orthopodological devices tailored to each patient.
