What is the modality and how is it organised?

The master’s degree is blended learning, with:

  • Online content accessible through the virtual campus, including videos, clinical cases, readings and self‑assessment activities.
  • 1 introductory on‑site session, held in the morning.
  • 1 live online synchronous session, held in the afternoon.
  • On‑site clinical placements (300 hours): Monday to Friday (morning shift 8 am–2 pm or afternoon shift 2 pm–8 pm), between October 2025 and June 2026. There is an option to do placements on Saturdays.

This structure allows students to balance training with clinical practice.

What is the duration and study load?

The master’s degree lasts one academic year and includes 60 ECTS credits comprising theoretical training, practical training and a final project.

What are the entry requirements?

Graduates in Nursing, Specialist Technicians in Radiodiagnosis (TER) and Higher Technicians in Diagnostic Imaging (TSID). Experience or interest in gynaecology, obstetrics or radiology is recommended. Medical residents who want to complement their training may also apply.

What is the price of the master’s degree? Are payment options available?

Does the master include clinical placements?

Yes, the master’s degree includes supervised clinical placements using real ultrasound equipment, both in simulation and real clinical settings. The goal is for students to perform ultrasound examinations with autonomy and confidence.

Will this master allow me to perform ultrasound examinations in my practice?

The master provides the technical and clinical skills needed to incorporate ultrasound into your medical practice. Although it does not provide a legal authorisation (which depends on local regulations and your professional association), it does qualify you to perform ultrasound examinations safely and with diagnostic quality.
