Programme Description
The diversity of intravascular devices and implantation techniques, together with the complexity of current pharmacotherapy and the importance of early detection and management of complications, makes specialised training in infusion therapy and vascular access essential.
To meet this need, the university, with the support of experts, has developed a master’s programme that provides theoretical and practical knowledge in infusion therapy and vascular access, as well as the competences required to work as a specialised nurse in this field.
Programme Objectives
- Provide theoretical and practical knowledge on infusion therapy and vascular access based on scientific evidence.
- Acquire the basic skills needed to work as a nurse specialising in infusion therapy and vascular access.
- Understand the roles, mission, vision and values of infusion and vascular access teams.
- Gain knowledge in the field of scientific research applied to nursing.
