Eduroam is an GÉANT initiative that facilitates the mobility of European researchers and students. It offers connectivity on the move in the rest of the institutions that are connected to Géant. In this way, the users of the institutions that participate in Eduroam have Internet access through the networks of the other participating institutions.
The connection of a person in the network of the visited institution (provided that he participates in Eduroam) is similar to the connection to the network of his own institution: the code/name and the key/password necessary to authenticate are the same, the only difference may be the access way to the network.
The University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia participates in the Eduroam project giving access to UManresa and other institutions users with the coordination of CESCA (Center for Supercomputing of Catalonia). CESCA is the technical and administrative center.
