Tuition fee

€2,940 (Payment in three installments: 20% upon registration; 40% in October, and 40% in January 2026).

This program may be eligible for company funding through the Fundación Estatal para la Formación en el Empleo, depending on the available credit. Alternatively, if the training takes place during working hours, the company may deduct the salary costs of the hours the employee invests in their training under the PIF – Individual Training Permit scheme.

MODULE 1: TEMPOROMANDIBULAR DISORDERS (TMD) AND OROFACIAL PAIN (OFP)

• Epidemiology and risk factors associated with TMD and OFP.
• Classification systems for TMD and OFP.
• Anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics of the cranio-mandibular and cervical region.
• Neurophysiology, phenotypes, and comorbidities associated with chronic OFP.
• Physiotherapy modalities in the treatment of TMD and OFP.
• Medical and surgical treatments for TMD and OFP.
• Definition, diagnosis, and understanding of bruxism in TMD and OFP.
• Definition, diagnosis, and treatment of somatic tinnitus.

MODULE 2: HEADACHES

• Epidemiology and risk factors associated with headache and migraine.
• Pathophysiology and neurophysiology of primary headaches (tension-type headache, migraine, and CTAs) as well as neuropathic orofacial pain.
• Manual therapy and therapeutic education in the treatment of tension-type headache, migraine, and headache secondary to temporomandibular disorder.
• Exercise modalities according to the type of headache.
• Implementation of physiotherapy programs based on therapeutic exercise.
• Management of patients with chronic headache and migraine.
• Medical and pharmacological treatment of headaches and neuropathic orofacial pain.

MODULE 3: UPPER CERVICAL SPINE DISORDERS

• Anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics of the upper cervical spine (UCS), lower cervical, and thoracic spine.
• Common clinical patterns of the UCS, lower cervical, and thoracic spine related to OFP, TMD, headaches, dizziness, and instability.
• Diagnosis, treatment, and relation of whiplash-associated disorder with TMD, headaches, dizziness, and instability.
• Diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis of UCS in headaches and dizziness.
• Examination and management of cervicogenic headache and cervicogenic dizziness using physiotherapy procedures.

MODULE 4: SLEEP DISORDERS

• Architecture, physiology, and stages of sleep.
• Anatomy and physiology of the upper airway.
• Pathophysiology of sleep disorders.
• Clinical and instrumental diagnosis of sleep disorders.
• Physiotherapy treatment in sleep disorders.
• Sleep hygiene, 360º approach.

MODULE 5: VESTIBULAR SYNDROMES

• Anatomy and physiology of the oculomotor system.
• Anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system.
• Physiological basis of videonystagmography.
• Neurophysiology of posture, balance, and gait.
• Pathophysiology and management of BPPV.
• Pathophysiology of acute vestibular syndromes (AVS): peripheral and central.
• Clinical presentation and epidemiology of AVS.
• Physical examination and treatment of AVS.
• Pathophysiology of episodic vestibular syndromes (EVS): peripheral and central.
• Clinical presentation and epidemiology of EVS.
• Physical examination and treatment of EVS.
• Interpretation of VNG results.
