Physiotherapy plays a fundamental role in the treatment of primary and secondary headaches, orofacial pain (OFP), temporomandibular disorders (TMD), and vestibular syndromes (VS). All these clinical conditions often require a multidisciplinary approach within specialized units for these patients, which are currently on the rise in both Spain and Catalonia.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Physiotherapy for Headaches, Temporomandibular Disorders and Vestibular Syndromes responds both to the growing demand from patients with migraines, tension-type headaches, headaches secondary to cervical spine disorders or temporomandibular disorders, temporomandibular joint dysfunction, neuropathic orofacial pain, tinnitus, bruxism, dizziness, instability, and vertigo, as well as to the increasing need for physiotherapists specialized in these fields to improve the care process for these patients.
The aim of the program is to train physiotherapists in the management of these different pathologies and syndromes so they can integrate into specialized treatment units or collaborate with expert professionals in this area.
The postgraduate program combines different active learning methodologies, making use of resources and opportunities to ensure that students benefit from a broad yet in-depth learning experience on the subject.
Thanks to its content, faculty, career opportunities, and learning methodology, this is a unique postgraduate program in the region.
