Program Description
Early intervention in health emergencies is crucial to reducing morbidity and mortality, especially in cases subject to activation codes. Out-of-hospital emergency teams intervene at this critical moment, where every decision is decisive.
These professionals must master the diagnosis and treatment of conditions of varying severity, in patients of all ages, ensure comprehensive care, and coordinate with dispatch centers and other services in complex environments, often outside the hospital setting and in land or air transport. All of this requires specific training, supported by solid theoretical foundations and practical application in real or simulated scenarios.
The Master’s Degree in Out-of-Hospital Emergencies addresses this need through a fully professionalized approach and a methodology that is highly practical and applied.
Program Objectives
To provide healthcare professionals (medical and nursing staff) with the training required to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to deliver excellent, comprehensive care to individuals in emergency situations in out-of-hospital settings.
Modality
The Master’s Degree in Out-of-Hospital Emergencies is structured as follows:
- Theoretical classes, simulation sessions, and hands-on practical workshops.
- Clinical placements from January to May 2027.
- Individual tutoring for final project supervision.
- Oral and written presentation of the final project.
