Document approved by the Governing Council of UVic-UCC on 1 December 2015.
The Tutorial Guidance and Support Plan (POAT) was approved by the Governing Council of UVic-UCC on 1 December 2015. In defining this Plan, the University has established its understanding of tutorial guidance and support and has set out the fundamental principles and specific objectives to be achieved by students, teaching staff and the educational community.
The POAT applies to all UVic-UCC centres, whether they are own, federated, affiliated or associated centres, and is developed annually in accordance with the Centre Operational Plan approved by the respective centre governing councils. This operational plan makes it possible to identify the measures to be implemented in each degree programme and also enables appropriate monitoring and evaluation.
Priorities and objectives of tutorial guidance
At the Manresa Campus of UVic-UCC, we work to ensure that the tutoring process is present throughout the entire learning process of the university master’s degree (individual tutoring and group sessions at the beginning of each semester). We believe that actions aimed at welcoming students and facilitating their integration into the University are essential, as well as providing follow-up and support throughout their training. Finally, students receive guidance on the different professional roles in the current context and on employment opportunities, both in the professional and research fields, arising from completion of the master’s degree.
