Hourly Laptop Loan Service
The aim of this service is to provide laptops on an hourly loan basis to undergraduate and advanced vocational training students at UManresa.
To formalise this loan service, users must go to the Service Point in the FUB1 building and present their university ID card (ULIFE).
The use of the laptops is strictly for academic purposes and is subject to the following conditions of use:
- The laptop is the responsibility of the person who has borrowed it.
- No more than one laptop may be loaned at the same time to the same user.
- Laptops must be collected from and returned to the Service Point counter in the FUB1 building.
- The maximum loan period is 5 hours, and students must commit to returning the laptop at the agreed time.
- Laptops may be reserved up to 24 hours in advance. If the student does not collect the laptop at the scheduled time, the reservation will be cancelled.
- Laptops may not be taken off the University Campus for use, nor left unattended.
- Laptops are loaned fully configured and in good working condition and must be returned in the same condition. The University is not responsible for any files saved on the laptop. Cloud-based versions of Office and OneDrive (online) must be used.
- If the user detects any hardware or software malfunction, they must report it to the Service Point staff.
- The University reserves the right to deny the service to a user whenever it deems appropriate.
- Failure to return the laptop or causing serious damage that prevents normal use will result in a penalty requiring the user to replace the laptop with a new one of similar characteristics or to pay its value, as determined by the University’s Systems Department.
