Would you like to play team sports at the university?

The UManresa campus offers the opportunity to take part in group physical activity. Sign up for our basketball, rugby, volleyball, and handball teams!

The activity consists of weekly training sessions at the Congost sports area in Manresa. Registration is annual and costs €40. With registration, participants receive a UManresa sports T-shirt as a gift.

Attendance at 80% of training sessions may lead to the recognition of 1.5 RAC credits

The information on training days and times for the teams is as follows:

Training sessions will start during the week of 12-26 October and will end during the week of 24-28 May.

All training teams are mixed, and training takes place one day a week (2-hour session).

Training sessions are held at the Congost facilities.

A minimum of 10 people is required for a team to be formed.

What is the Healthy University programme?

Healthy University is a health promotion programme run by the Fundació Universitària del Bages and addressed both to the university community of the UVic-UCC Manresa campus and to the general population of the city and the surrounding region. It focuses mainly on promoting a balanced diet, regular physical activity, and the prevention of harmful habits.

  • To act as a driving and integrative element for knowledge and health in the region through networking with different institutions and organisations linked to knowledge, health, and innovation.
  • To foster a health-promoting university environment.
  • To promote research and consultancy in health promotion and public health.
  • To strengthen ties between the University and society through its public and private institutions, contributing to the improvement of population health through knowledge transfer and the organisation and/or collaboration in health-related activities.
  • To be part of the Catalan Network of Healthy Universities (US), the Spanish Network of Healthy Universities (REUS), and the IUHPE (International Union for Health Promotion and Education).
