Document approved by the Governing Council of UVic-UCC on 1 December 2015.
The Guidance and Tutorial Action Plan (POAT) was approved by the Governing Council of UVic-UCC on 1 December 2015. In defining this plan, the University has established its understanding of guidance and tutorial action and has determined the fundamental principles and specific objectives to be achieved by students, teaching staff and the educational community.
The POAT applies to all UVic-UCC centres, whether own, federated, affiliated or attached centres, and is implemented annually in accordance with the Centre Operational Plan approved by the respective centre governing councils. This operational plan makes it possible to identify the measures to be applied in each degree programme and also enables their monitoring and appropriate evaluation.
Priorities and objectives of the action
At the Manresa Campus of UVic-UCC, we work to ensure that the tutorial process is present at all stages of the educational pathway: pre-university, university and post-university stages. We believe that pre-university actions aimed at raising awareness of the different professional roles in the current context are essential. During the university stage, particular importance is placed on welcoming first-year students and on the follow-up carried out through the Tutorial Action Plan. Finally, career guidance aimed at the post-university stage is essential to help students make the transition from the academic world to the labour market.
